DEFINITIONS:
We define responsible governance as a proactive approach for identifying and mitigating risks—business, legal, and ethical—associated with building, training, development, and use of data, analytics, and/or AI. It encompasses all policies, procedures, controls, and responsibilities necessary for ensuring that organizations manage these resources in alignment and compliance with all relevant ethical, societal, and legal mandates and sensitivities.
For the purposes of this survey, analytics refers to the process of exploring, interpreting, and communicating data through tools such as reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making—distinct from advanced techniques such as AI or machine learning.
