Q2 Blueprint: Data Foundations for AI

Introduction: TDWI research indicates that organizations gain advantage when they build AI on top of enterprise data that is accurate, governed, and accessible. This survey examines how organizations are building trusted, well- architected, and governed environments for AI. It explores enabling technologies such as modern cloud platforms, scalable compute, diverse data, data governance, metadata, open table formats and other emerging tools and technologies.

AI in this context is focused on traditional AI (e.g., predictive analytics/machine learning), generative AI using company data (as opposed to off-the-shelf generative AI tools), and agentic AI.

Who should take this survey? This 10-to-15 minute survey is geared toward those who are building and leading the building of modern data foundations for AI. Consultants, please answer these questions with your last client in mind.
